Billie Boy was rescued from an apartment building in New Orleans weeks after Katrina hit....he was so scared that he was hiding in the wall. Yes, you read that right....the wall. There was a hole and he had to be literally cut out of the drywall. He was quite unhappy about all the commotion. It took me months to track his mama (Ms. Katherine Lloyd), but thanks to Stealth volunteer Natalie Hornsby, we did it! Billie's mama is now living in Athens, AL in a hud-housing since she lost everything from Katrina. She as too ill to travel back to NOLA and try to reclaim anything she could salvage. But we saved Billie. The apartment building that she was living in Athens wouldn't allow her to have her cat! Billie has been with Ms. Katherine for 9 years and was born under her bed. Katherine has been forced to move to another apartment in order to have Billie back. She has been through an uphill battle which has not been easy for her. We need to get Billie back home.
